Coming Up*...
The Last Wednesday Apero - Wednesday 28th May, 18h00- 20h00. This month Corinne and Denis Oger have offered to host this event at their beautiful house overlooking Port-Vendres. Please let us know if you would like to attend. More details in the catch-up newsletter later this month.
Walk at St. Nazaire - Thursday, May 21st for our walk in Saint Nazaire. This is an easy walk to see birds, flowers, and enjoy the company of the VI community.
Departing by car from the Port Vendres train station. Meeting at 9h30, departure shortly after. If you would like to join, please let us know:
1. If you can be a driver and how many seats you have,
2. If you need a ride
After our walk, we can have coffee or lunch in Saint Nazaire depending on the time.
Please let us know by Monday, May 18, so we can organize the car pooling.Refuge Madeloc, picnic and pétanque. We now have a pétanque pitch and it would be good fun to have a game! Bring a picnic and something to share – and we'll provide drinks. Any thoughts about a date?
Tea and Tell - Wednesday 13th 15h00- 17h00, at Banyuls. Katherine, our secretary, is running "Tea and Tell" at her home in Banyuls. "How did you get here? The 200 members or so of Vermeille Internationale all have a story to tell, whether you were born here and have always lived here or have crossed the country, continents and oceans. This is the heart of Vermeille Internationale, meeting people from different horizons, getting to know different cultures. So, it's more like Tea and Tell, sharing origin stories, travel stories, what we've learned, what has surprised us. Limited to six people.
Celebrating 50,000€ of generosity - Wednesday June 10th, at noon. We will be holding a party to celebrate 50000€ raised and donated to charity by the association. We have booked the picnic site at Val des Pintes in Port-Vendres for the occasion. There will be a 3 course meal including drinks, and live music. 25€ per person. Admission by ticket only.
